![]() ![]() We notably saw this begin a few years ago from Gatebox, which would basically be a Japanese version of Amazon Alexa/Google Home if it weren’t a non-holographic anime girl who not only turns on your living room lights for you, but also pesters you at work with texts asking when you’ll be coming home.įar from a sex bot, the goal of Gatebox’s character, Azuma Hikari, is to deliver an entirely platonic augmented reality virtual girlfriend experience. Ladies and gentlemen, presenting - the virtual waifu. And for reasons that can best be explained as “ God damn it Japan ,” these virtual girls are generally anime-esque. While sex robots are inevitable eventually, in the meantime, many are trying are circumvent the technical barriers of manufacturing by producing sex robots. But the moment they move or speak, they seem more like a Disneyland animatronic rendition of Apple’s Siri speaking through an 8-bit speaker. Companies like Real Doll represent the very cutting edge of what counts as a sex robot these days, and visually their products look very impressive. And most of the sex “robots” commercially available today that you might consider getting naked with aren’t really robots so much as silicone dolls with a hint of mobility plus rudimentary chatbots running on tacky speech synthesizers in their heads. While the Boston Dynamics Atlas robot does a good job of walking around and can even perform backflips, you probably wouldn’t want to be intimate with it. ![]() I was wondering how many watch their MMD in VR now (like me).First, let’s face the facts: sex bots aren’t really “here” yet. I must admit I haven't touched a video on this site ever since the first time I tried VR, I just download models off the web and make my own scenes in Waifu Sex Simulator. I'm excited to see how MMD creators will adapt since I'm convinced that VR is the future for this stuff - there's no comparison between watching a 2D video and actually being able to wander about in 3D space, take in the dances from different perspectives, change models + motions on the fly, touch the ladies while they dance. The only downside is that I don't believe shaders/cameras. but you can switch between physical/animated models, there's lighting, multiple stages, I get 60+ FPS, and you can manipulate models/positions/morphs/bones in-game as they dance. ![]() or at least VR creators will be the most influential/popular in terms of advancing MMD.įor those who haven't and have a chance to try VR yet, please do! The link below is a good starter pack: I've overall been very impressed.įor those who have tried VR, what changes do you foresee in the MMD creator community as a result? Do you think the number 2D videos will drop off as VR picks up? I personally think that there will be more VR creators than 2D video creators within 5 years. PS: For those who are interested in VR but don't have the money for an Oculus Rift or Vive (and don't want to resort to a low-quality experience like cardboard). (You do need a halfway decent graphics card - preferably GeForce 970 and up - since the program powers the graphics thru the computer and not the phone like regular cardboard would) It can be used with wifi, but you can tether to USB too and play offline! Here is the link: I am using a program called VRidge coupled with a cheap headset + phone, which gives in my opinion an excellent VR experience for much less - it's almost Oculus-level quality IMO, I was honestly blown away. Or at least VR creators will be the most influential/popular in terms of advancing MMD. ![]()
